4. Observation On Teacher

Teacher's Planning

Teachers prepare teaching plans in accordance with the curriculum. teachers must design teaching plans so that the expected learning objectives can be achieved. The teaching plan is only for one topic. So teachers must make a teaching plan for each meeting.

Preparing Lessons and Materials

As a teacher, we are required to prepare everything that is needed when learning takes place, such as lesson plans and materials. Teachers must compile lesson plans properly in accordance with existing guidelines, the lesson plans designed must have clear and directed goals. After the lesson plan, the teacher must prepare any materials that will be used. The materials used must be safe and fun, so that learning is easily conveyed to students to the fullest. in addition, for the Physical Education / PE (MAPEH) department there will be a practicum in the gymnasium, of course the teacher must prepare the materials and tools that will be used during the practicum. what should students bring?

Teaching in Class

Mr. Joseph starts the lesson by asking the students to pray, after which he checks the students' attendance and greets the students and asks if the students are ready with learning equipment (textbooks, chalk / markers, and whiteboards). Usually the teacher will give encouragement first to get students excited. Next, the teacher will review the previous material and provide motivation related to the material to be learned. then the teacher starts the presentation to explain the topic using powerpoint. During this time, the teacher sometimes asks questions to the students.  Next is to conduct collaborative activities and present the results. if it is finished then Mr. Joseph will give quizzes and integration, summaries and assignments. finally the teacher will close the lesson by inviting students to pray.

Teaching in the Gymnasium

It is the same thing as teaching in class only different places but before going to the gymnasium they are in class first to fill in the attendance of students and they leave the class and go to the gymnasium and arrive at the place such as lining up students and bringing order to the rows, warming up, core learning or practice and not forgetting them at the end to cool down their bodies so as not to injure their muscles.

Measurement and Evaluation

The teacher provides evaluation by asking questions to students in turn. This is so that the teacher can measure the extent of students' understanding of the topics taught. In addition, the teacher also gives assignments in his book according to the topic given that day. The teacher can give a score in the form of the number of stars as an award for student work. At the end of each topic, the teacher will give a quiz, either multiple choice or essay.
